I don’t really believe in New Year’s resolutions because I believe this is the time of year where they all fail. I did, however, tell myself that I was going to make a conscious effort to be consistent with workouts and healthy eating. It is difficult to maintain a workout plan when your work plan changes so frequently. A 6pm workout can’t happen if you work until 9pm and a 6am workout isn’t going to happen if you are trying to recover from working until 11pm the night before. However, you can still look at your calendar at the beginning of every week and try to identify two or three days that you can try to get a workout in. You can also try to do a week’s worth of grocery shopping and meal planning on the weekend.
It is difficult to maintain a healthy body when you have such a stressful career. However, the steps that you take to maintain a healthy body will help you manage and reduce your daily stress.
